If you're asking about making the 2.66" blank, I scribed accurately with a divider, cut to size with a shear and used a belt sander to make them round. Damned nice fit. I think you can see that?
~ $30 in it and ~ 2 hours work. Made enough parts for a friend! I still have to make a bracket for mounting, but already have a sketch for it. 10 minutes. Plus painting...

How hard was it to fit your inlet tube in and down through the existing inlet nipple? Did you find an exact O.D. to match the I.D.?
