Default Re: Eibach + Koni vs OEM

does anyone in here know bout custom shocks.i.e thecompressed is 17.75 and extended is 18.875 .so if i have custom h&r springs to lower 3" all round id need my shock numbers adjusted 3" smaller.i called Monroe and dont see what the problem is in just finding a shock that meets the pin style stud top and loop bushing lower.in a high horse car 4to 5 hundred hp get low and wide and power slide with little counter steer.like any of us would have practiced in the snow with the e brake ,doughnuts or in the rain.i want to lower 3" Without some air ride garbage putting compressors in my ride???if any of you have any ideas ,i dont see why qa1,bilstein,monroe,who makes 80% of all other companies shocks or any of the others wouldnt.you pay 2 grand for a coil over that drops 2".with my camber arms and a good alignment id not be able to find any fault in lowering for bout$400 custom springs,no cutting, and bout $150 a corner on the shocks with H&R sway bars all round.with 500 hp at bout 2600 lbs i dont to be to high with 18 x 9.5 in rear wheels and 18 x 8 in front.i like to run 35 series Yokohamas all season sports for the very high tread life and 160 mph rating, type of tires most awd bmw cars run.but with the wavetrac rear posi i want to grip low with or without slicks and even went to the trouble of retapping the rears to 14mm x 1.5 and using H&R stud conversion, just to give you an idea of the raked stance im attempting to achieve.im currently running b&g springs with smaller shock bumps and srt6 shocks on a ltd v8 chevy and would welcome any feedback.yhanks guys ,out
