HDDP, I believe mine is mounted low enough to keep the heat from melted the fascia. I have checked it after some hard runs and the heat doesn't seem to get close enough to the fascia. But the muffler I am actually using for the kits I have started producing have larger flared tips that are double walled, to reduce the heat transfer.
