Our Cocka-poo loves the car and travels with me frequently. When travelling as a family she usually calls "shotgun" and I'm fine with that as it usually means there will be a pleasant conversation up front.
We have a pet harness seat belt to ensure she travels safely, and is kept back of the airbags after all, she is a member of the family.
