Stallion8797, my exhaust pipe section is not there to increase the power output any, actually a larger diameter pipe from that point of the exhaust would not yield any power gain and might actually hurt it. It is simply, to give the installer a easy convenient open spot to cut the factory pipe and clamp on my add on. The gain from my kit is all from the muffler (it is an straight through flow resonator style).
