Default Re: SRT6 rear end out, need help

I was going to offer our services, but you are a long way off. Here's the deal since a lot of BS has showed up. The weakest part of the rear end is the spider gears. That is what usually goes out, and we would have to know that for sure. Given it is the spider gears, you can do 2 things. Replace it with another stock used rear end. That is the cheapest way, or add the wavetrac for insurance that your driving style won't ever destroy the spiders again. Just so you know, spiders can be destroyed on ice/snow covered roads. I have seen rear ends blow spinning on slippery surfaces to dry surfaces. So, those are your choices. I like a strong rear end with both wheels pulling. I don't like open diffs for my style of driving. It is an expensive modification, but well worth it if you are hard driver. Your choice. Rob at Needswings has them, or you can go straight to the guys in CA. Up to you. We do installs, but we are located in Central Indiana. Good luck with your choice. Mimi...you are one lucky dude, but when we installed the wavetrac in the roadster, it was perfect. I do have spider gears in the box in the garage if anyone is interested.
