Maybe they were taking the "If you build it, they will come" approach to marketing this car. If that is the case then the strategy isn't working and they need to advertise it more aggressively. The problem is, IMHO, that a lot of people still equate "Chrysler product" with "gutless piece of crap". No don't get me wrong, ever since the merger they have been working very hard to change that image but that change comes slowly. They're facing the same challenge as GM did. If you'll notice, GM has been changing the image of Cadillac from "Land Yacht" to "Luxury/Performance" so they can better compete with the likes of Acura, Lexus, and Infiniti. D/C is doing the same thing with the Chrysler brand.

I'm living proof that their image makeover is working. I would never have considered buying a Chrysler product until I drove the Crossfire. Now, I can definitely see a 300C sitting in my driveway as well.
