Why do you need 9 quarts? After doing a proper oil change (draining from below), I added exactly 8 quarts, checked the level and it was perfect. Also cost me under $80 including the Mobil 1 oil filter.
Not to mention the pride of doing it myself.
Just going by the Manual with a new filter added it takes 8.5 qts, but they chage for the full Qrt. That is why I estmated the 9th Qrt.
