I wanted to say thank you to the Crossfire forum and Tighed1! Last summer I had issues with the mystery no start. I'd have it towed to the dealer and it would start right up for them. I realised that the dealer wasn't going to be any help with this problem when I spoke to a gentleman at the dealership who had already invested $3500 to fix this recurring problem with his car. I was so happy when the cooler weather came because my car seemed to like cold weather. Unfortunately, my luck ran out the other week when my car mysteriously stopped at the bottom of an exit ramp and wouldn't restart. I was sure I was going to get hit by another car. After about 10 minutes of panic and numerous start attempts it finally started. I was fortunate to find the Crossfire Forum and learn about the RCM repair. The Mercedes dealership wanted $230 for the part. I contacted tighed1 to see if he was still doing the RCM repair and thankfully he said he was. I have to admit that I was nervous about disassembling my car but it wasn't that difficult. Tighed1 was great, he got the RCM back to me quickly. So far, my Crossfire's been running great. I'm grateful to the forum and Tighed1, without all of you my beloved Crossfire would have been looking for a new home.

Another testament to the great help and support for the XF guys! Thanks Tighed1, your a great ambassador! BTW, does the RCM swap also include the "me-so-horny" mod included? Also, is it still $10.00 plus a beer next time they meet? Thanks again forum members, who help those not as gifted in troubleshooting/repairing our girls!
