To timing belt sound- I meant the alternator belt, whichever one is in the very front of the engine, right behind the radiator.

To whining, I only really notice it at around idle and acceleration, though it could be there at higher speeds, I just can't hear it due to road noise and engine noise. the sound seems to go in incremants of sound then a quick loss of sound. Then it will pick up again. Repeat cycle. closest sound I can compare it to, is perhaps a belt winding up.

To a.c.- I have only heard it when I was driving. I just tried it now and it didnt make the noise at full blast. But that could be because it is fairly cool right now, or because I only hear it everyonce in a while.
