Also, how many miles on the car, is it an SRT-6, is it on a regularly scheduled maintenance program (air filter change at the least).

The CPS will usually fail after the engine and sensor get hot, then if cooled, will run okay, till hot again.

Was that your symptom before the CPS change, or did you change the CPS, with no change to symptoms (and did you use a Bosch, versus a knockoff)...???
