Thanks for the new info.
I will look into the alternative process you have mentioned. Obvioulsy I dont like the idea of anybody messing with my car, (especially the engine) unless they have a proven track record and offer gurantees. I found another UK link to a company which provides the service, (UK ONLY). I will just have to wait for more evidence i think and an MOT emissions failure before I ever go down this route.
