Hmmm... I don't mean to burst your bubble but what program did your UPsolute tuner use to "extract" that extra horse power???

The tuners buy the equipment and programs from UPsolute. I would gather to say, most of them wouldn't know how to reprogram the original program they get from UPsolute if their life depended upon it. There's more to creating a program than just flashing your chip. And if they did, they'd be charging you more $$$ than the MSRP for the time it took them to modify the original program.

I had the same thing in mind before getting mine done... maybe they could squeeze some extra HP for me. I called two different tuners and visited the one where I had mine done before committing to getting the work done. Even after committing to have my car chipped he said he could not do it. If either one did they would be hanging their a** out in the wind and the parent company would take action against them let alone back any warranty. UPsolute will not stand behind the tuner that did that work if he could.

Anyway that was my experience of trying to get some extra HP and how it was explained to me.

If you go to the Upsolute website, it explains why the programs are made with the parameters they are... in short, they don't want to push the limit of the engine. It would be bad for business if they did.

You are right on one thing, the Upsolute chip for the Crossfire is $400.00 + $25.00 labor. That too is in the Upsolute web site.
