Not entirely true.
If you can find a MB parts department that only sees dollar signs, do the following:
- Find a VIN from a 3.2 Kompressor powered AMG (SLK32, C32)
- Contact dealer
- Order part number 000 221 12 01
- Pay $100
You will then receive your name plate. It won't be accurate because since there was no OE name plate, we have no clue who actually built the motor. But, no one at a car show is going to fact check you. Promise.
