I could hug you for posting this... As an employee with Nissan for nine years, I know some "ins and outs" of the service parts industry with manufacturing corporations. I've been saying for years that the SRT motor was the exact same hand-built AMG motor, and likely had an AMG placard to begin with. When Daimler-Chrysler decided that it needed 2,944 motors (2,016 coupes, 928 roadsters) the AMG service-part replacement long blocks (10102-xxxxx part number in Nissan) was retrofitted with SRT manis, and the name plate was removed and the residue was sanded off. Note the "AMG" on the supercharger is still conspicuously displayed for all to see.

Clearly on the photos above, the name plate hadn't been removed yet since it wasn't a factory installed motor. Curiously, the manis are present.
