Would having my current ECU reflashed by Upsolute void my warranty?
If I purchased a new "stock" ECU unit to replace my "flashed" unit, before I take it into the dealer for service, wouldn't the dealer still be able to tell that I "was" using a flashed unit previously, simply by downloading my cars "history" from it's own "black box"?
Can I expect something close to a 1/2 sec. improvement in 1/4 mile ETs by spending $400 to $600 on the Upsolute reflashing process?
I know all these questions have probably been asked and answered before, but I'd appreciate some straight answers that would save me alot of time "surfing" the forum. Thanks alot guys.
Yes it would void your warranty... and please do not go into that sad story about how a part can be changed and not void your warranty... we are dealing with Chrysler here folks... Chrysler will refuse to repair your car under warranty for any reason that Chrysler can find. hooah

For $400 dollars you will gain about 15 HP, go figure how much faster that'll make your Crossfire in the 1/4 mile time... that would be in your ability to drive your car hard in a 1/4 mile run... there are other factors such as air intake, exhaust, gear ratio, etc, etc determines much more then the ECU at how fast you run a 1/4 mile... HP gains without the other stuff is just "numbers."... yes I would still flash my ECU, if for no other reason then a fast kick in the pants.

As for the black box it only records "Data useful to researchers and investigators, such as delta V, driver seat belt usage, and pre-impact data", I do not believe it stores information concerning the ECU, but if I am wrong please correct me.

hooah
