It only takes premium gas, top notch synthetic oil and fluids. It has the same engine, transmission and frame as a Mercedes SLK...but looks better, at least better than the SLK's ugly rear. It is a Mercedes with a Chrysler coat. The last of the Daimler-Benz breeds. Its not bad to fix if you have the time and do your research but I'm not saying (in comparison to other vehicles) that its not pricy to fix either.
It is a beautiful car and great ride. I definitely recommend this car.
Only thing for you I would really consider is because it uses premium gas only that having this as a daily driver could get quite expensive, especially with these gas prices.
The gas part dosent really bother me... i'm trading in a '97 Acura Integra GSR which also took Premium and have always used Mobile 1 Synthetic in her with Redline tranny fluid (is a 5-speed), but now the wife and I will be diving this... my other "car" is a Nissan Armada. at 13mpg... yeah premium gas at 25mpg for the X dosent really bother me
Another note... i was reading something about premature tire wear on these as well, I know the 350z's and some Chargers have this problem too, uneven wear and blow out because of some type of suspension issues... is this usual on the X or no? I've only seen one guy talk about it, maybe he's just lead footing it all the time...
