No when you look at your headlights were the lens and the back half meet, there is a channel were the lens slides into the back of the light. Cut off the top 1/2 of the channel, it curves up and over the top of the lens. When you have that all trimmed off you can slide your hobby knife blade between the lens and the bottom 1/2 of the channel to cut the black silicone sealant . Then pop the lens off, but be careful. After you get the lens off you will see the bottom 1/2 of the channel that you can reglue and slide the lens back over, after you clean it up.I used more black silicone sealant from Autozone. I hope the picture that I borrowed will show you what needs to be trimmed off. I wish I would have taken pictures now....lesson learned.
