I'm looking into getting a used X as a daily driver... i usually hit about 50 miles a day going to and from work.

I've been searching around and the only common problems i've been able to find is a rust problem and the bottom of the doors... and also the rear window popping out of the rag-top but i'm looking to get a Coupe anyway so thats square.

I was also reading that this uses Mercedes engine and transmission... which are quite expensive to fix but usually have no issues at all with them.

Any insight for a prospective new owner would be appreciated!
Thanks all!
I bought my 2005 NA Limited coupe new in November of 2004 with 23 miles on it. It is my daily driver (NE Florida so no snow issues) and I put a min of 44 miles on it per day. I've driven it to North Dakota once, northern VA and South Carolina at least three times, South FL once each year, and all over town whenever I feel like it, and mine has only 94,000 miles on it. All this is just to say there might not be many 100k Crossfires out there. Its a terrific little car. Tires are expensive and don't last long because they are UHP tires and you won't get more than 20k to 25k miles, if you're lucky. Fluids are expensive because they're MB specs. It's no more or no less reliable than any other car if you don't take care if it so spend the money when it's due for services The car IS a SLK 320 in a Chrysler suit. It's simply the price you have to pay for this special car. It's worth every dime in my opinion.
