Default my new slk32 build

as most of you know i crashed my old 32 last yr and totalled it. so i searched for a new 32 with the plan to take it farhter than i ever would have before.
i started with the old mods from my black car.
c3 s/c pulley
needswings catch can
needswings c3 pulley saver kit
needswings dual cai
all my suspension mods
all my datalogging equipment
clk rims w/ goodyear drag radials
jerry at e/c was kind enough to transfer my tune over to the new car

once the mods were installed it was track time and as expected i ran about the same 12.4
so it wasnt long i met grip grip and we had a common bond modding and doing things folks said couldnt be done.
following his lead and working with some great shops i had patrick eves from PTE engineering build me a 178 fluidamper crank pulley. this pulley has fantastic harmonics and spins butter smooth with .002 radial runout and .007 lateral runout. he also sent me a asp water pump pulley and gator belt. rob supplied the # for a 178 serpentine belt so i used that in the end.
hooking up with the genius of bruce at TUNING TECHNOLOGY MOTORSPORTS i asked if he could build me a looped fuel rail and injectors like he does for the e55 v8 cars. his reply was if i tested it for him he would do it. day or nite all at his cost i was shipped rail after rail to test. after 6 months we nailed the final design and its flawless. almost hidden and allows for fuel pressure sensor install this kit works great and the injectors supply tons of fuel.

so now i have a 178mm crank stacked with a c3 s/c pulley
looped fuel rail with 550cc injectors
swapped the goodyears for a set of ccw wheels wrapped in mickey thompson drag rubber

knowing grip was having scaling issues with his stacked setup i asked bruce to see if his tuner of choice jeremy at OETUNING would be interested in tuning our cars. so with great hesitation we switched tuners. let me say here i think the e/c guys are awesome! i have known jerry for yrs and used him exclusively. when the tcu mod came out i tried and had all manner of issues. knowing it wasnt good to have 1 tuner work the tcu and another the ecu i made the decision to go back to oem tcu and switch to allow for more precise tuning of the stacked setup. jeremy does a great job at tuning. grip is faster and makes more power than me while still running 10 afr but i had a timeline that couldnt be changed.
so i made the decision to visit BUCKHEAD IMPORTS and let tony dyno tune my car so i could race in june at a big event in ohio.
i dont care about dyno # just timeslips. after 6 hrs of tuning the car feels great! 22 lbs boost and im running out of fuel pressure down to 50 lbs at 6000 rpm in 3rd. so fuel pump is ordered as is 1 step colder plugs.
off to al. to race. first pass 12.1 new p/b! 2nd pass 12.0!! cooldown 3rd pass 11.9!!!! success!! car si running safe and fast 12.2 afr at 6000 rpm with 20* timing. fuel pressure is 50 psi and will be bumped to 65psi for more safety.

i tend to ramble so im sure i forgot some things.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED ME JOIN THE 11 SEC. CLUB!!
ANTHONY (GRIP GRIP)
BRUCE BESOJIVIC (TTM)
JERRY THORTON (E/C)
JEREMY (OETUNING)
ROB @ NEEDSWINGS
TONY AND JASON CUMMINGS (BUCKHEAD IMPORTS)
CHRIS MESSMER (LATEMODEL21) great designer and helped with all my tcu issues by supplying the parts i needed to diagnose my problem. (and builds killer paddles!!)

im sure theres many ways to hit 11 sec at the track. i have seen a c3 with a single cai do i,t nos spray hit 10's and the 181 is a sure bet.
the thing is i love to take the road less traveled. trying new ideas that nobody has appeals to me and i have met the best folks in the world on the way.

am i done? NO FREAKIN WAY!! 82mm t/b KILLER CHILLER are a couple things in the works true dual exhaust headers and who knows if eric ever finishes his twin charged i may add a turbo and see if the car can go 10's.

thanx for watching!
