Default Re: A Question about the Wavetrac...

I absolutely despise the TC. When I first bought this car, I wasn't always thinking about turning it
off (never really was completely off), and there were several times when I was turning some corner
after stopping for the stop sign, and I'd step down on the gas, tires would spin a little as I would
start around the corner, and *blam* the TC would kick in and I'd lose all power.

Sometimes, in the traffic around here, you have to take the "gap" you get to be able to get onto
the road. These cars are great for that, and for those of us who hate when someone pulls out from
a side street, only to creep along (forcing you to hit your brakes and shed 20 mph or more) and don't
want to do that to others. When the TC kicks in, not only do you cause the folks coming along the
road behind you to be inconvenienced (polite folk don't like to inconvenience anyone), but you run
the risk of being rear ended.

For that reason, when ever I crank the motor, the very first thing I do is push that little button to
turn off the TC (or should I say, to turn down the TC).
