Forgive my ignorance........I just bought a SRT6 off of ebay and it's all new to me. All this supercharger stuff is new to me as well. How can you tell if the SC is working properly or not? Many normally aspirated engines will downshift on heavy acceleration and might seem like there's forced induction at work. When I first start the engine there is a high pitched sound coming from the engine bay but slowly dissipates after 20 seconds or so. Is that the SC? Thanks
the s/c engages at approx 2000 rpm. the high pitched sound on startup is the purge valves activating the secondary air pump not the super charger. from a dig you can feel the s/c engage and view it by the amount of rubber left on the road!
