Pics
start of rash, goes around almost 180, ill save the pain of showing the whole thing
Low Grit Sanding
More low grit to smoothe out those deep cuts
After a lot more sanding, after first round of high grit
Pretty much done, ready for the paint failure.
Post clear failure strip off, (basically another 3000 grit sanding) metal polish and wax application
Can post some close up pics of seem, can see it on the last pic 3 and 9 o clock. You could probably shape it sharper with some careful sanding so it wouldn't be a strange shape like mine and it would blend with the shine, I sanded way past where the rash ended to try and blend but whatever covering they have on em could not be matched by me no matter how much I polished. Maybe some of the chrome like paint would do. Again I would say just do the whole outer ring, I can do some more close ups if anyone is interested.
