Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead. I'm looking at doing a flush/fill of my tranny fluid as well using Royal Purple 5W-20 synthetic. Only issue is the manual calls for engine oil meeting API SL or GF-3...and Royal Purple is API GF-5.

Wouldn't that harm the tranny? Especially the synchros?
