Newbie here. I paid just over 8K for my 96K limited coupe. An AZ car garage kept and the (black) paint is really nice. Yes there are a few issues - some bulbs, etc. A brake rotor (and pads) in the near future. These are high-perfomance cars and require maintenance. Be prepared to buy some tools and learn DIY. The engines with proper maint will go a couple hundred thousand miles. The stick 6spd trans is really heavy duty, and will outlive the car.
My limited coupe will come off an on-ramp to the freeway at over 100mph (if I don't watch it, grin) and still average 25mpg.
