Default I might cry...

After owning my 2004 Crossfire since October of 2003, I had avoided most all of the little dents and dings that one tends to accumulate while driving and parking each day.

Then, I had one of those days where it would have been better just to stay in bed. The day was capped off when I came home from work and was parking my car in the garage. As I was turning in, I hit the brake about 1/2" too late and put a nice 5" or so column of about 6 black gouge marks in the plastic front bumper. Now, truthfully, it's not all that bad. The largest spot is probably about 1/2" - 3/4" wide. And, in most places, only about 1/16" - 1/8" divot where the plastic was scratched off.

My question to all of you experts or anyone else who may have had a similar incident...what kind of cost might I expect to fix this? It seems like it is something that could be relatively easy to fill in, sand smooth, and touch-up. Others have told me they might want to replace the entire front fender and then paint the front as necessary to make it match. I have an appointment at the dealership today to get my car serviced and get an estimate.

Yep, I just might cry. Well, no, maybe I'll just be sick. Hmm, maybe I'll do both.
