I would let him use it if he is a responsible kid, it's only a hunk of metal, a cool hunk of metal though. My issue with people driving my car is you can't see anything coming up behind you, and it's hard to back up. My Dodge Ram Mega cab is easier to back in a parking spot than my crossfire.
