Default Re: Radar Detector Hardwiring / Head Unit / Odds & Ends

For these who wanted to know more about the install.

I found the Lamp/Accessory Fusebox, which were for head lamps, brake lamps etc.

Grab a coin, key or w/e to unlock the panel and open.

If you look in the fuse description, you will see fuse #4 is a Control fuse(Rear Wiper, Mirror ETC), so it's a key-on and not switched like the other ones.

Get a fuse tap, tap into Fuse #4, make sure don't exceed 10A for the add-on.

Peel off the A Pillar, put the wires in.

The Positive comes out from fuse box, the negative can be mounted on one of these bolts.

Clean up cable, put back the A Pillar cover.

Organize your cable through top, to mirror, and Smart Control switch.

Put everything back in place.

Done.

If there might be a possibility that this will mess up anything/electrical etc, please let me know.

Thanks.
