The ones I get say made in Germany and come with all of the need orings and are a Fleece filter instead of paper and made by Knecht, Mann or Hengst . I have seen some that say made in India that have less pleats in them and who knows what they are made of. The fleece filter is white and fuzzy, the paper media looks like a manila folder and is yellow color.
The filters used in the Crossfire are the same thing used in the SLK 320... down to the same box. DC not too long ago changed from paper to the new fleece filters. The new filters also doubled in price. Chrysler used to sell the old ones for just under $10.00, the new ones go for $18.00.
