Default Re: Installed new stereo - no sound from rear speakers

This doesn't make sense to me. I recently installed a Clarion head-unit in my Crossfire (still using the factory amp and speakers), and I didn't have to do any special wiring.

I used a Volkswagen/Mercedes harness Best Buy sold me, and it had color-coded wires for front left, front right, rear left, and rear right speakers.

I believe the harness they sold me included 2 extra wires that you could insert into empty spots on it, if you needed them. One was to trigger a power antenna, which doesn't apply to our Crossfires anyway. Can't even remember what I figured out the other was for, but again, not anything that mattered for the Crossfire.

Either your friend doesn't know what he's doing, or quite possibly you've got the wrong type of harness.....

My friend was not able to hook up the rears and said there wasn't even a place for the wires to go. Do I need a new harness or is my friend stupid?
