Where Should the Engine Temperature Gauge Sit?
With ambient temperatures in the mid-80s in the mornings and the mid-90s during the day, I have been noticing that in stop-and-go traffic with the AC blowing cold on the 1 and 2 settings my SRT's temperature gauge has been running just above the middle mark on the gauge. Do you think this is normal? It usually is so steady right in the middle of the dial, but maybe it has always been like this in higher temperatures. This is my first Summer with the SRT-6. My Limited would have the temp gauge dial stay constantly in the middle all year round I believe.
No mods other than I swapped the Bosch IC Pump for a Johnson.
Additionally, when I installed the Johnson, one of o-ring clamps I bought wasn't tight enough and as a result I lossed coolant. Before I loss too much, I tightened the clamp and topped off the stock coolant with Valvoline Zerex G-05. That was 4 months ago now.
Thanks for your input.
