I don't use my detector that often so I didn't feel the need to shell out for the really expensive ones. I have a Whistler. Read the reviews on Radartest.com and they were the best midrange priced detector. Cost me about $160 with shipping I think. Excellent Ka range (over 20,000 feet and the best laser detection for the price.
