Default Re: Worlds Best Driving Movie !!!

It was an Italian "ricer" sometimes referred to as a Ferrari 275 GTB. There is a lot of history behind that short film. It is rumored that LeLouche, the director was arrested at the premiere in Paris in 1976, and that the driver was one of 4 famed F1 drivers of the time including Mario Andretti and Jacky Ickx.

It's really quite a historic piece of work in the industry and was much sought after short film for years until it was resurrected a few years ago on DVD. It was one of the first times a Bolex camera was used in such a manner, which only holds 1000' of film (10 mins) and the shot is one take.

LeLouche went on the direct many notable european films and directed the chase scenes in "The French Connection".

Sorry you don't appreciate the complexity of what they pulled off in the early morning hours in Paris. I'm also sorry you didn't get the finality of the story where the driver races up to the plaza to meet his mistress risking his life to get to her as quickly as possible... It surely looks like the driver could have been Mario Andretti or Jacky Ickx in 1976.

I'll try and upload a better version to my website and then perhaps you'll appreciate it more...
