There is a simple modification that is good for about 1 hp. Just remove the soft black weather-strip at the rear edge of the hood. This allows high-pressure air from the base of the cowl to get under the hood at the rear of the engine, right where the intake is located. I know what you got, but think about what I just stated.

The downside is that this will increase the temperature of the air brought in through the fresh air vents.
