I hope you realize that nine times out of ten, I simply stir the pot because the rolling Bentley joke is such a good one. It never gets un-funny, LOL... Even when I'm being a bit of an ***, I got nothing against ya.
But I definitely recall us having similar political views.
The opponents of the deceased forum always said "find a forum that specializes in politics, this is a Crossfire forum". And I completely disagree with those single-sighters...
Let's say you and five of your fellow enthusiasts are out to lunch after a car meet, and someone brings up a current event, like the Chick-Fil-A fiasco. Do you ice the conversation and say "WHOA -- hold your horses, let me relocate to another table of political junkies". Of course not. I can't imagine how hellish and frustrating it would be to jump into a political conversation with strangers that have backgrounds you can't relate to. What if one of those guys considered his Prius his "fine auto"? I'd have a cardiac.
Here, we all know each other as friends, or at least acquaintances glued together with a common passion. The political forum was responsible for me forming life-long friendships with many members on this site. My Crossfire will eventually wear out, or get crashed. But I know that even though I may move on to another platform, I'm always going to keep in touch with Mark, Nick, Steve, Bill (oledoc), Rudy, Franc, etc... because they share my beliefs on damn-near everything else.
If we all just sat around comparing intake sizes, we'd have a pretty shallow understanding of each other. Case in point, the newbies that come on here and cuss you out because you told them that they didn't know a $5 intake from their arsehole. I'm quite positive I have one guy hating my guts because he built a ghetto intake. And to be quite frank, I can't be bothered to care. Why? Because for all I know, he's a teenager that knows everything. We're not allowed to discuss anything deeply meaningful anymore, so he's just a screen name to me. Nothing more. Not gonna let that rustle my jimmies.
Sorry for the novel, I just had a brilliant cigar and a massive chocolate cupcake. So, I'm both mellowed out and hyper. A horrid combination at 11:15pm.
