I wasnt aware that this was a fairly common problem. Mine was cracked and leaking and rather than put in a new tank I drilled the brass sleeve out and screwed/drove a 1/4 inch brass hose barb in the hole. This was a couple of years ago and not a drop of coolant has leaked out.

Btw, where did you order your cooant tank from. The cheapest Ive seen was about a $150
