I can attempt to post a video link, as well as pictures of the pulley itself to get insight on that issue. I was sure it was another issue, however they insisted this was it, hence I moved on.
Now it appears I may have to change the pulley anyway, before it does any future damage.
As for now, like I said I have read numerous threads and here is what member "Mrobinso" said in an older thread:

"IMPORTANT NOTE: When the Crankshaft Position Sensor fails, the electric ignition will turnover, and by that I mean you will hear the electric ignition trying to start the engine (a “chik chik chik” sound), but the engine won’t run. If the electric ignition turns over and the engine runs briefly but sputters out, this is not the Crankshaft Position Sensor failing!"
If I understand that correctly, it cannot be the sensor, although I have heard the sensor is fairly cheap and often does fail.
While I wait for more responses I will attempt to pursue the sensor and test to see if that is the concern.
