Here's a good tip.....
If you ever have a blowout at 80 mph on a freeway & you find something that looks like a hard hollow metal straw that impaled the tread area of the tire....before you take out the compressor & tire repair goop ....first look at the inside sidewall of the tire....in all likelihood the wheel has come down at 80 mph and totally sliced open the tire. The goop isn't going to plug a giant opening.
Next, when the highway repair guy that roams the freeways stops & wants to help you find a place to take your wheel to have a new tire put on (& doesn't want his legitimate employer to know he's doing this on the side).........don't ride around with him for hours while he has to take his real calls....you may find yourself riding shotgun in a ghetto & fearing for your life !!!!!
Just get a ride home & jack up your backup Crossfire......take a wheel & tire back to the blowout site & drive your car home & then take the one that blew out somewhere to be replaced.
