I was going to try PlastiDip. Is that what others are using? My concern was cleaning up or maybe even completely removing the original coating. Just wasn't sure what might remove it without damaging the base plastic.

I will contact a friend who has done it and see if he can post some info. Keep in mind, this type of rubberized paint has been in Mercedes interiors for years, and they have complained about the same peeling happening, so you may want to stop by your local mercedes dealer and ask as well...

Please, please, please no plastidip, it will not match at all.
