Default Don't give me no (new) Lip!!!

Well I am arriving late to this party but I am trying to make up for lost time with my mods. After taking everyones advice and suggestions about a front lip for my Limited Roadster I decided to give the e bay one a shot. I paid more than $5 for it, but it was way worth it. Just have a a look at these pics! I am extremely happy with it. Next best thing to the SRT bumper cover and a lot cheaper. I do have it painted to match the car. It wasn't hard at all. scuff sanded it with 400 then 800. Cleaned real good with paint prep. Shot it with flexible primer from a spray. Then shot it with duplicolor universal black.Again from a spray can. Now here is the most important step. I have found a real 2K clear in a spray can from Eastwood. Press a button on the bottom of the can and the hardener and clear are mixed together. Shake for 5 mins then shoot right from the can. It gives a proffesional , durable clear coating that has some give. The pot life is only 48 hours after mixing, but I almost used the entire can for the lip. The rest I used on the color matched door handles a day later. No waste! I am sure anyone can do this on their own.

As far as mounting, it was not too bad. I did it with no help either. I propped up the ends on some blocks and got both ends aligned as I wanted them in the wheel well. I used tape to hold the center up. Two screws on each side hold them secure. Then a little creativity with some screws from the underside directly into the original front bumper underneath where they can not be seen. Took me about an hour to mount and an hour to paint a few days before the mounting to let it cure. I did have to use a heat gun and a couple of V notches on the underside to make it conform better, but I could not be more pleased.
Not everyones style I am sure, but it works for me.
