With your car being more of a fun weekend toy than a hardcore racer, you'll be fine sticking to the Novice/Intermediate classes with the local HPDE at AMS...

In the Novice and Intermediate classes, only factory roll protection is required. Once you hit advanced, they request cages and the like.

As long as you pass the broomstick test, you're golden.
