You do not need to have purchased an extended warranty to have the top replaced, and the person who paid $500 to get theirs replaced got ripped off. Sorry, but it is true. Chrysler put out a service bulletin about this issue and the tops are supposed to be replaced by Chrysler and paid for by Chrysler, AS LONG AS YOUR CAR DOES NOT HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON IT. Regardless of what warranty you have or do not have.
