I added a little more than 6 quarts and it read low. I added the remaining 7th quart and my gauge read "-1.5Q" so I added exactly another quart and a half. Now the darn gauge reads "HI". Should I suck out half a quart?
I verified the 8.5 qts for the W112 engine from a MB engine rebuilder. He said use 8 qts. because the extra half qt. has a tendency to overfill the bladder and make the pump less efficient. Take the extra .5 out if you want, but it won't kill the engine if you don't...
