Default Re: New Top For Roadster

I was tired of the headache and worried the glass in the top would fall out while I was doing 70mph on the highway so I did not mind paying the $500. I went to Hurley Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Deland, FL. They are not the closest dealership and are about 40 minutes from my house but well worth going out of my way. They have replaced many XF tops in the past so they have the experiecne to get the job done the right way. After a good wax job my car will look brand new, I'm a happy camper and love my roadster!

I too was told by Chrysler's Customer Service Hotline that my car VIN "Did not qualify" for the TSB because my car did not originate in one of the 7 states where they have agreed to extend the Convertible Top Warranty.

I owe part of the credit to my persistance after reading several posts on this forum on the subject before I took delivery of my Crossfire, but most of the credit goes to my dealership. My hat comes off to the Swope Family of Dealerships in E-Town, KY and their high ethical standards that they operates under. They came through with a new top, new D-Ring, locking mechanism kit and installation on both at NO CHARGE to me. I even received free pickup and delivery of my Crossfire from the dealer which is 2.5 hours away from Nashville TN and a 2012 loaner vehicle while my car is being worked on.

My faith in dealerships has been restored thanks to Swope! I WILL be buying my next and all future vehicles from Swope.

All the best,
Luis
