Re: New Top For Roadster
First, thank you to all of you out there who have been posting your experiences, successes and failures with this issue. I have used all your info to successfully navigate the replacement of my top as well. I am in TX, am the 2nd owner of my '05 XFire, which I love, and presently have 90k miles on it.
I just received word from my Case Mgr at Chrysler that they are approving the replacement of my top and that they will be in touch this afternoon to tell me the details and whether or not there will be a "deductable". Does anyone have info on how they determine what that "deductbale" is for and how it is determined? I agreee with the posts here that it is a rip off to be charged anything in this instance, but also agree that in the end if I have to pay $500 then its better that a few grand for a whole new top. That said, I spoke to the Svc Mgr at my dealer and they stated that they have nothing to do with determining the "deductable" but that it might be based on time or mileage past warrantly expiration...sounds wishy washy to me.
Anyone have any thoughts or infor on how this fee is determined?
Thanks!
