You think that as the centre of the universe () the US version of English dominates, and at 300 + million it is the biggest English speaking country, it isn't. India has English as an official language and it numbers some 3.1 billion souls. Add up all the English speaking peoples and you are a small minority, I agree not all speak with an UK accent, but neither is it an American one either.

I fear we would all be better of learning Chinese though.
