Anyone who has followed my NA thru the Dragon in an SRT will have to give on this. The NA and the SRT are at least equal there. In fact I have encountered more competition from other 6 spd NA's than any SRT. Including my own, which is a 12 second car.
And I agree with you about the 6 speed.
Slolom test on our cars showed the NA to be more nimble.
Put it to bed boys, that goose is done cooked.
But straight line running, the kind of stuff you will do in real traffic, no contest.
My wife andIi race home often. Her in the SRT, me in the NA. In not one instance, entry ramp, turns or lane changeing, can my wimpy NA even approach the squirt power of the SRT. An extreme difference in go juice fromthe SRT. Instantanious, unrelenting, un forgiving. Just frickin fast!.
That goose is also done.
The fact is in 3years you will be thinking about getting a more powerful car to replace you NA Crossie. a stock Ford mustang GT can beat it today and a new one will do it then. But tha SRT will tickle your tailbone everytime you leave the other guy behind. And even if you don't play that way, you can drive sedate knowing you can and that you've got the best damn platform on the road for the money.
Buy the SRT while they are still a bargain. All they are doing from now on is getting more rare, more desired and going up in price. I cannot say that about the NA.
