Default Re: best big brake products?

You really need to consider, honestly, about what's most important to you. Price? Performance? Looks? A BBK won't stop your car faster. What it will do is permit you to stop, stop and stop from 140 again, again and again with no fade (with the right pads). The tires you have on the front have more to do with stopping distance than number of caliper pistons or rotor size. The large sized calipers and rotors can absorb more heat. Unless your generating lots, I mean lots of heat, you don't NEED a BBK. Now that I've told you why a BBK isn't needed I'll tell you the impact of a BBK. No body passes by the car without stopping and D@mm!!! those are huge. (Insert drool) ... (more drool) People go bonkers, some go orgasmic when they see huge brakes. So, if you want guys and girls to get wet, then get the BBK of your choice. If you are a track junkie, a BBK is a must. I'm parcel to Stoptech. I have them on the front and if they had a trade in program, I'd trade them for the Trophy kit. I started with 225's on the front, moved to 235's, then 245's and currently have 255's and I still have more braking power than tire grip with my Stoptechs. So, be honest with yourself first. Know what you want and separate it from what you need. It's a whole lot of money so you should be buying for the right reason. Anything else you'd like to know?
