Yes, and yes, there are 12, 2 per cylinder.
The coils are marked A & B, the A wire goes to the cylinder front plug, the B to the back.
The boots can be VERY hard to get off and on, I believe a long handled open end wrench that fits inside the collar is often used.
Use some dielectric grease when putting them back on .....
( Hint : remove the coil packs from the valve covers, gives you a bit more room to access the plugs )
