I have ran headers on my Camaros, and even had a set on 1 of my vettes. They will increase hp and torque when properly done. The problem I had with the vette was the compact install caused a lot of heat related problems. Plug wires, other wiring and tubing. You have to insulate for those, as well as the heat under the hood. XF's have even less room in there than the vette's I have owned. I can see why they would have to lift the engine for install, but what are the clearances with the motor set back down? You would have to show me at least the 30hp and better price to even fool with headers again. XF aren't old muscle cars with lots of room for headers and the problems that go with them...
